Beaton Park Tennis Courts

We're making great progress on the Beaton Park Tennis Courts project.

Council is upgrading Beaton Park's tennis courts to provide a modern, high-quality tennis experience for players of all ages and abilities. These works are part of Council’s commitment to delivering a vibrant, accessible sporting precinct for the community.

When it's finished, Beaton Park will become a Regional Tennis Hub, featuring:

  • 15 new courts, including
    • 10 acrylic hard courts
    • 1 multi-purpose Hot Shots / pickleball court
    • 4 synthetic grass community courts.
  • New shade structures, spectator seating, floodlights, pathways and soft landscaping.

The Tennis Club and ProShop are still open during works.

Construction is well underway, with work being done in stages. We're excited to share that several key upgrades have already been completed.

What's been completed so far

  • Four new synthetic grass courts
  • Seven new hard courts
  • Three new multi-use courts for Hot Shots and pickleball
  • Resurfacing of old courts to create an additional 100 car parking spaces
  • Installation of a temporary administration and toilet facility next to the courts.

What's next

Council is working closely with its contractor to complete the remaining tennis courts by the end of 2025. We're aiming to have the facility is ready for the Summer of Tennis.
