Council completed the Collins Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan dated September 2025 for this catchment. The study was prepared in accordance with the NSW Government’s Flood Risk Management Manual 2023 and the Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019 guidelines.
The study provides the most up to date information on flooding for this catchment. It also identified flood risk across the catchment, investigated various options and recommended a range of flood mitigation measures.
The Collins Creek Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan dated September 2025 also includes the updated version of the Collins Creek Flood Study (2019) with ARR19 guidelines. The study also supersedes previous study of Combined Catchments of Whartons, Collins and Farrahars Creeks, Bellambi Gully and Bellambi Lake Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan (2014).
