Hours change at different periods during the swim season as shown below.
Please note that hours shown are a guide only and can change at any time due to emergencies, weather, maintenance or other events outside Council's control.
Beach patrol hours
Beaches are listed in order from north to south. For locations and safety information, see our Beaches page.
North Wollongong Beach is patrolled year-round; during winter, patrols are from 9am - 4pm daily.
Even during advertised patrol hours, you should not enter the water if there are no red and yellow flags.

Rock pools are open at all times, except when being cleaned or during works.
