Motor oils and many other oils should never be placed in your household bin.
Our Community Recycling Centre (CRC) at Kembla Grange accepts many types of oils for recycling. Check below to see what you can drop off.
Oils accepted at the Community Recycling Centre
You can drop off up to 20 litres of each of these types of oils:
- Motor oil (sump oil) - engine oil from any machinery
- Non-motor oils including:
- Transmission oil
- Differential oil
- Automatic transmission oil or fluid
- Chain and bar oil
- Grease
- Car shampoo, polishes and waxes
- Coolant
- Brake fluid
- Gear oil
- Cooking oil
- Household lubricant oils
- Heating oils.
Oils not accepted at the Community Recycling Centre
- Any oils not listed above
- Household chemicals.
These items should never go in your household bin.
