Accessible parking spaces are marked with a wheelchair icon. These spaces can only be used by people with a valid Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) card.
Make sure your MPS card is clearly displayed on your vehicle.

COVID-19 support: Mobility Parking Scheme times extended
We’re offering extra support for Mobility Parking Scheme (MPS) holders at on-street paid parking locations in the Wollongong CBD. This is part of our COVID-19 parking support to help people accessing the Illawarra Shoalhaven Mass Vaccination Centre.
For drivers displaying a valid MPS card in the Wollongong CBD:
- You don’t have to pay for on-street ticket parking
- For on-street spaces with a time limit of 1H or more, you can stay all day
- For on-street spaces with a 30 minute time limit, you can stay for two hours.
Time limits for MPS holders
Accessible parking spaces do not have a time limit.
If you have an MPS card, you can park in non-accessible spaces for extended times as shown below.
Time shown on sign | Limit for MPS holders |
---|---|
More than 30 minutes | Unlimited |
30 minutes | Up to 2 hours |
Less than 30 minutes | Up to 30 minutes |
