Meet Larry. He’s a lifelong learner.
Larry has learnt a lot about electrical engineering through his lifelong passion for model trains.
He is an active member of the Illawarra Model Railway Association located in Koonawarra. There are about 50 members. They get together in the clubrooms on Tuesdays and Fridays to run their trains, work on modelling projects and have a chat.
Larry is keen to share his knowledge. He helps his mates at the club fix broken locomotives if they can’t do it themselves.
His current project is fixing a locomotive that is more than 100 years old with an old clockwork engine. It’s a new experience for him and he loves it.
